Welcome to my live chase page! It takes the place of my homepage on active chases but there was an incident where I was not able to switch it over, so I have decided to always make it available here just in case. This will still take the place of my normal home page
around the time I am actively pursuing severe weather. I don't always have time to switch over the site when the weather changes quickly [this will usually only apply to local situations] so I urge you to follow me on Twitter or Facebook using the buttons at the top to always get the latest information! To continue to my normal
homepage click here.
Members of the media looking for
licensing
and contact info: A telephone number is displayed under the
stream
to
call. Detailed information is located on the sidebar.
A
reminder when viewing the following trackers: Tornado alley is sparsely
populated and thus there are many areas that do not have a cell phone
or
internet connection. I do my best to keep all these things connected
on
the chase but at times it can be very difficult. The connections WILL
fail at times.
Live video stream:
Below you will be able to see a live video feed from the windshield of
my
truck! The video stream will not always be on, especially if I am
just
driving or sitting around waiting for storms to fire. Once the
chase
is hot though the stream will automatically start. You can also
see
my
stream along with many other chasers at www.chasertv.com
Spotter
Network Position: What will
usually
be running at all times during the chase is my Spotter Network.
Here
you will be able to see where I am even when the stream is not
running.
This links directly to the radar software I use and updates
once
every
minute, except as noted above when I'm in an area without
internet
coverage.
Latest Chase
Snapshot. **Under Construction**
This is an experimental idea with the site I am toying with. Soon you will be able to see my latest chase photo once I get it working! For now though, enjoy this Image from April 22nd 2010 in the TX panhandle!
**A
quick note to family and friends: While I'm on the chase, sometimes the
weather back home can get pretty nasty and scary. Unfortunately I
usually
am not paying close attention to whats going on at home since I
need
to focus on where I am at. PLEASE DO NOT text message me asking for
a weather update. There have been times where I get so many texts
coming
in it jams my phone and I cannot make important calls to the NWS
or
even
911. You may call me if you have an immediate concern, but
please,
for general weather updates please check one of the MANY
resources
available
to you. See the Education/Resources page.
